User accounts

Depending on the deployment type, the initially created user account is added to the default user account group. This group has master access scope assigned to it, meaning it has no restrictions regarding privileges and no data scope limitations.

Note

Access scopes are text labels representing privileges required to access particular areas of the application or its resources.

Important

Access scopes of a group are merged with the access scopes of the user account, meaning the user account inherits all privileges from its associated group, whichever privileges it holds at any given point in time.

Create an account

Navigate to SystemUser accounts and click on Add account.

You must select a user account group, enter an unused username and email address, set the status and password. The same password must be entered in the "Password" and "Repeat password" fields.

Setting the status to anything other than Active will not allow the user to login.

Minimum password requirements:

  • password must contain at least one digit (1-9), one lowercase character, one uppercase character and one special character
  • password must be at least 12 characters long

Optionally, access scopes and data scopes might be selected to limit the user to a particular set of privileges and data scopes. If no limitations are set, the user has no restrictions but may inherit them from its associated user account group.

Create user account

Click on "Save user account" to complete the process.

Edit an existing account

Navigate to SystemUser accounts and click on the edit icon within the row of a particular account.

Create user account

If you want to change the user's password, enter a new password in the password fields.

Update the fields that you want to change and click on "Save user account" to complete the process.

Important

Updating an account might log that user out of the application requiring it to log in again. This also means if you update your own account, you might be required to log in again.

Logout

Click the top-right user icon and then click on "Logout".
