Introduction

Merchant back office is a private, password protected part of the application for setting up products, categories and pricing, managing orders and shipments and performing various other administrative tasks.

The login to the back office is protected with CAPTCHA as default.
Optionally, two-factor authentication can be used.

Back office

For increased security, password for a user account can only be reset by another account with sufficient privileges from within the back office. This is also true for other account modifications including status changes, like locking or unlocking a particular account.

Depending on the deployment type (cloud or on-premise), a password can be reset by a root user account from Amarant Cloud Console or by using the Amarant CLI.

Additional user accounts may be created and assigned to user account groups, both which can have a defined set of allowed privileges and allowed data scopes.

Each user account is tied to an email address which must be unique.
